extractor.sh

Limitations

Know the boundaries.

extractor.sh is built for straightforward extraction of public content. It is not an access-control or browsing-automation service.

Access restrictions

  • CAPTCHAs are not bypassed or solved.
  • Login walls, private pages, paywalls, age gates, and other access controls are not bypassed.
  • Cookies, authorization headers, custom request headers, and browser sessions cannot be supplied.
  • Private networks, local addresses, direct IP targets, and non-standard ports are rejected.

Request location

  • You cannot select a specific server, country, region, or request location.
  • Requests run on the infrastructure location selected automatically by Cloudflare.
  • Region-locked content may therefore be unavailable or differ from what you see locally.

Extraction boundaries

  • Extraction quality depends on the content exposed by the public source.
  • Highly interactive or protected pages may return incomplete content or fail.
  • Reddit post results do not include complete comment trees.
  • YouTube results do not include transcripts, captions, spoken content, or media downloads.
  • SoundCloud, Spotify, Vimeo, TikTok, and Instagram results do not provide audio or video downloads, lyrics, or transcripts.
  • Mastodon extraction supports individual public statuses, not timelines or complete threads.
  • X extraction supports individual public post URLs, not private or deleted posts.
  • Google News extraction returns public article metadata and summaries, not full publisher article bodies or personalized results.

No availability guarantee

Public sites can change their pages or access rules without notice. A URL that works today may return different content or stop working later.
